The Design
Here is what Robynn writes:
The dragonscale stitch pattern is combined with subtle beading to create a gleaming, elegant cowl that flares gently around the base.
Choose beads with more contrast to up the wow factor, or leave them out entirely for a quieter look.
Yarn and Colorways
All that is needed is 317 yards (290 m) of fingering weight yarn. We do not offer the same yarn that Robynn used in her original. You can see our yarn in the insert photo on the top page and again below that.
We offer your choice of three quite different yarns.
1. From Manos del Uruguay, Alegria is 75% merino superwash + 25% nylon, with 445 yards (405m) per 100g sekin.
The colorway is a solid (or almost-solid) rich blue called Royal. (Sorry, out of stock)
2. From Juniper Moon, Herriot Fine is 75% alpaca + 25% nylon and with 461 yards (420m) per 100g skein.
This colorway is also an almost-solid and is called Merlot Red and that describes it very well.
Beads
What is needed is 324 size 6/0 beads. We will include more than that.
If you have a preference for what color bead you want with this, let me know. Also tell me if you prefer beads with a strong contrast (for that "wow factor" Robynn mentions) or rather ones that blend into the color(s) of the yarn.
If you don't give me any specifics, I will choose the color bead for you.
