An absolutely delicious yarn from Araucania Yarns, Huasco is a plied 100% Extra Fine Merino, with 450 yards (410m) to its 100 gram skein.

450 yards (411 meters)

A wonderful fingering weight yarn, great for next-to-skin wear and the colors are deep and rich and marvelous.

A Slice of Cake is a variegated colorway to make you smile. Reminiscent of a layer cake with its pink frosting, these skeins have ecru, vanilla, pin, rose, fuchisa, violet and maybe even more that I missed. Yum!

Quite something, quite something indeed.

It would look great in a number of designs -- scarves which call for variegated beauties would be perfect with this yarn. I especially like it for any one of these 5 scarves created by Jennifer Dassau of The Knitting Vortex that explore new and non-traditional shaping with short rows -- Rondelay, Triangulate, Aerophile. Rufflebye, and Piewhacket. Wouldn't this make a stunning rendition of any one of these?
