A scrumptous new yarn from Juniper Moon Farm combined with a gorgeous new pattern from Boo Knits!
Please note: you must get your copy of the pattern directly from the Ravelry page that Bev (Boo Knits) set up for it here. The kits we have put together will give you the yarn and the beads for this lovely piece.
Note that this pattern has full written instructions and is fully charted (with nice large, easy to read, charts) and bead placement shown throughout.
Here is what Bev wrote:
Into the Night is the finale in the Into the Night Collection.
It is an unashamedly romantic shawl that is a worked from the top down with a centre lace panel that becomes, three, five and seven panels before finishing with a flurry of lace and beads.
Understated and elegant, this shawl is just the perfect accessory from dusk ‘til dawn whatever you are wearing and wherever you are!
A truly gorgeous shawl.
The Yarn and Colorways
Our kits are not made up of the same yarns that Bev used in her original piece. You can see what we offer in the inset photos on the top picture and again right below that. The other photos show the finished original shawl and are used with permission, so you can picture the design.
What we have is a new yarn from Juniper Moon Farms called Aine. This is 100% silk, with 327 yards/ 50g skein. the feel is delicious; and the silk gives such a lovely glow!
It is definitely a light fingering weight yarn. The pattern calls for 656 yards (600m) for the shawl. So each kit will include two skeins which should give you more than enough.
We brought in two colorways for you to choose between.
Sea Stone is a striking silver color.
Pacific Sky is a pale cool blue.
The pattern requires 800 size 6/0 seed beads or size 5/0 triangular beads. These are added using a very thin crochet hook or a tool such as our Verna-x.
Each kit will include well more beads than you will need. If you have a preference as far as color or shape of your beads, let me know. Otherwise I will choose for you, a bead that will work well with your yarn choice.
Reminder: get your copy of the pattern directly via this Ravelry page.
