A couple of years ago, Noro released Ito as a brand-new yarn.  It is a lovely yarn with brilliant colorways.

We have just brought in another colorway.

There are really so very many designs that Ito lends itself beautifully to.  I mention a couple below -- if you'd like any further suggestions, please contact me.

Ito is 100% wool and looks quite reminiscent of their standard Kuryeon.  The yarn is a bit softer right away as some merino is spun in, and as is the case with most of Noro's yarns, once it is washed it softens up amazingly.

What makes this yarn unique is it is 437 yards (400m)/ 200g of Noro's traditionally looooong color runs, in vibrant tones.

#33 (Narita):  These are warm colors including bright sunlight yellow, pink, mahogany and a few tones in between.

Let me suggest an awesome pattern by Xandy Peters for this one.  Check out her Petal ScarfIto has great color spans and repeats plus perfect yardage for making this.  (In fact, I am working on one myself!)   Xandy's original is shown in the last photo on this page (though knit in a different yarn, this will give you an idea of how these colors might sing).

I also really enjoyed knitting the Moko-Moko Cowl by Olga Buraya-Kefelian.  It is such an intriguing knit yet very logical and extremely well-written so it becomes second nature.  A pleasure to knit and to wear.

And don't forget Nightshift by Andrea Mowry. In fact, when I check the Project pages for this piece, there are over 500 wraps that have been knit using Ito! Take a look and let your imagination roam free!
