The Yarn and Colorways
We have put together kits of the exact yarn and colorways that Svetlana used in her original.
The photos of her cowl are shown here so you can see the design well. They are used with permission. She used two colorways of Mechita as described below.
This will give you a cowl that is 38 cm wide x 78 cm long (which translates to roughly 12" x 31".
Mechita is a fingering weigh tyarn of 100% superwash merino with 420 yards (384m) per 100g skein.
Your kit will consist of one skein of each of Mechita in:
Diana (#886), a striking variegated colorway that looks rather autumnal to my eye. I see gold and amber, persimmon and lime, leaf green, grape and violet.
Teal Feather (#412), an almost solid in a rich blue teal.
The pattern is fully written out, a chart for working short rows is included.
We do not automatically include the pattern in these kits.
