Mountain Colors is known for their amazingly glorious hand-painted yarns. And so when they contacted me about their new offering, I had to bring some in!
This is their new TangoFoot, a yarn made up of 75% superwash merino + 25% nylon and with 460 yards/ 100g skein.
We brought in a special form of TangoFoot. This is the Tangofoot Bundle which includes not only a full skein of TangoFoot but also a mini skein of 90 yards/ 2 oz, specially picked to work beautifully with the larger colorway.
Those of you who knit socks will immediately love the idea of using the contrasting color as toes and heels. But even without socks on the needles, the idea of having a small skein to add a highlight or another nuance -- stripes, perhaps --- is very appealing, don't you think?
Here is what we have -- and each skein will come with its own mini skein as you see in the photos here:
1. Barndance is the main skein and combines red and orange, violet and purple in a beautiful dance. The contrast skein is an almost-solid purple.
2. The main skein is Icicle, a tonal blend of turquoise and teal in varying shades and tints. The contrast skein is a variegated one, very much looking like Blueberry (described next).
3. Blueberry is dashes and dots on a cream backgound including purple and blue, teal and iris. The contrast skein here is an almost-solid navy.
4. Silverbow is an intriguing variegated mix of gren teal and gray, barn brown and slate. The contrast skein is a rich teal.
