A beautiful cowl by Jennifer Dassau , Myrsine allows you to play with the long color runs of Uneek Fingering and a myriad of slip-stitch designs to create a beautiful piece that is tremendous fun to knit.

The Design

Here is what Jennifer writes:

Seven different slipstitch patterns create intricate textures in this infinity loop cowl, pairing a self-striping contrast yarn with a neutral main color.

Slipping stitches using only one color per row lets the yarn do all the work, creating a striking accessory.

Fingering weight yarn makes a scarf with a versatile weight that can be worn as one long loop, or doubled for more warmth and a riot of textures.

Yarn and Colorways

What is needed to make a cowl that is 54” length and 7” depth (after blocking) is one skein each of Urth Yarns Harvest Fingering (100% superwash merino wool; 435 yards/400m/100g), and Urth Yarns Uneek Fingering (100% superwash merino wool; 435 yards/400m/100g).

The original cowl used for its solid colorway one skein Oleaster and one skein again of the yarn with long color runs, the Uneek Fingering in colorway #3017.

And that is exactly what this kit consists of!

Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern and the cost of the pattern has not been factored into the cost of the kit.

I know some knitters might prefer to get it directly as a PDF file of the pattern from Jennifer via her Ravelry web page. In this case, set the drop-down menu to "No pattern needed" as you will be getting it from there.

Alternatively, if you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.

We also can email the pattern to you via email (just be aware that it is not automatic; I have to manually send it to you and generally do it right before packing up your order for shipment).
