Another marvelous beaded wrist warmer pattern that is offered as a free pattern on Ravelry here.
I have permission from the designer (Anne Brovold) to share her photo here and offer kits to make these truly lovely pieces.
Yarn and Colorways
Our kits have different yarn and quite different colorways than what Anne used for her original. You can see the yarns we have for this kit in the inset photo on the upper right-hand corner of the top photo and again below that.
Take a look at the Project Page to get an idea of how different colors work up. (To be honest, I wasn't crazy about the look in lime yarn but I really like some of the other ones.)
All that is needed is a fingering weight yarn plus size 8/0 beads in a single color -- a simple introduction to this method of beaded knitting.
Anne knit with a 100% alpaca with 191 yards/ 50g -- our yarn is different. We offer some absolutely delicious yarn from The Fibre Company, their Canopy Fingering with 200 yards (183m) per 50g skein of a blend of 50% alpaca + 30% wool + 20% viscose. Can't you just imagine how marvelous these feel?
We can make up kits with either of these two colorways (one skein per kit):
Lantana: a lovely red-violet, that glows with a springtime look.
Bluestar: a deep blue, the night sky right after the sun has set.
This wrist warmer design has you pre-thread the 584 beads onto the yarn. Anne used a thin sewing needle; we will include a dental floss threader with your kit to make it even easier.
The beads are simply one color. We will include at least 15g of size 8/0 beads (about 600 beads).
We will give you beads in a color selected to look good with (and stand out on) the yarn color you select.
if you want a second color of beads or have a preference on bead color, tell me. We will happily work with you to put together a kit to match your vision. Otherwise I will choose for you.
