Another Ophan Skein offering. These are left-over balls of yarn, of which we only have one or two. We offer them at a greatly reduced price (at least 15%) while supplies last.
From Schoppel Wolle, this is a DK weight yarn called Zauberball Starke 6. The company writes: "The same unique color combinations as Zauberball® Crazy in a DK weight to give sweaters, shawls, and scarves a truly creative flair."
Each ball has 437 yards (400m) per 150g, and is made up of 75% virgin wool/ 25% nylon.
They are dyed in long color runs and as they are plied and each ply is dyed separately, the finished piece has a tweed-ish look that gradually changes colors.
We have two colorways to offer:
1. Schokoladenseite (#2092) (translates roughly as Chocolate On The Side) has autumnal colors, with orange and red-orange and burnt orange blending into reds and greys and browns. Quite lovely.
2. Zimtschnecke (#2246) (translates as Cinnamon Bun) is a deeper blend of colors, including browns and rusts and magenta and wine as well as navy and blue.
(Please note that one of our balls of Zimtschnecke is missing its label. We will copy and enclose all the relevant data for you.)
