Oh my goodness gracious!

By Anna Victoria (aka RainFlower on Ravelry), this one is simply gorgeous.

Please note that you must must must get the pattern for this Ozone Lace Shawl via Anna's Ravelry page.  What we offer here is yarn alone to use to knit this gorgeous piece.

The Design

Here is what Anna writes:

Crescent shape shawl knitted top down. Edge of sunshine, clear blue sky, intricate lace, lots of beads.

This is a top-down Crescent shape shawl.

The Yarn and Colorways

What we have on this web page is not the same as the yarn that she used in her original piece.  You can see our yarn in the inset photo on the top picture and again right below that.  The other photos (used with the Anna's permission) are there to show you the design.

The pattern allows for one size only, with the yardage depending on the yarn used and gauge. The finished shawl you see (of Anna's original) on this page used 437 yards/ 400m and if you check the Project Pages you'll see that the testers used between 383 yards/350m and 525 yards/480m.

Our kits are set up as four-skein sets of Gradiances from The Unique Sheep (TUS), 100 yards per skeinette for a total of 400 yards (366m).

The yarn is Verve, 100% superwash merino.

The colorway is Harvest Moon, a wonderful circle of colors (see second photo on this page) divided into thirds.

Kit A includes skeins # 4, 5, 6, and 7.  These are cool colors ranging from an evergreen into teal into blue into indigo into purple into red-violet.  Rich and velvety.

Kit B includes skeins #8, 9, 10, 11, ranging from purple into red-violet into a rich rust and ending with a "pop" with some gold to it.

Kit C is skeins #12, 1, 2, and 3, a warm color combo, going from gold and gradually transitioning into olives and eventually back to evergreen/ teal.

The Beads

Anna Victoria's original shawl used a lot (!!) of beads -- 1,167 size 6/0.  And we will include at least that many in your kit.

I often go for beads that mirror to some degree the colors in the yarn; conversely strong contrasts can also look very fine indeed.

If you have a preference on bead color let me know.  Otherwise I will choose for you.

The Pattern

Please note that the pattern is not included in this particular Kit.

You must purchase it directly from Anna's  Ravelry Store  which will place the pattern in your Library to ensure you have access to updates and pattern support.
