I picked up these novelty yarns kind of spur-of-the-moment, without any clear idea of what I wanted to do with them.
I thought of adapting Lucy Neatby's Color Me Happy Hat, with the idea of knitting the band until it fit and then picking up stitches to finish off the crown. Berroco has a marvelous crocheted Zhivago Hat, that would be perfect. And this morning I happened upon this Hagensborg Hat which could also work beautifully.
So I decided there were plenty of options and I should simply offer these! I would love to see what you come up with.
The yarn is from OnLine and is called Punta. It is made up of 45% Rayon, 45% Nylon (polyamide), 10% Acrylic and has 90 yards to each 50g ball.
Maybe it is the rayon -- I have to say it really feels delicious, with a glorious coolness to the touch.

We brought in two colorways:
#24 is a very happy array of flower colors, a true summery glow with golden yellow, orange, hot pink, turquoise, green....
#37 is called by the company Black + Magenta but to be absolutely honest, to my eye it looks more like a dark chocolate plus raspberry. Well, I did say it is delicious, didn't I?
