A wonderfully unique design by Natalia Moreva, this Queen of Hearts design is sure to keep your interest.
You must get the pattern from Natalia's Ravely page here. What we offer here is the yarns that make up this kit.
Natalia writes: Queen of Hearts is a non-stranded colorwork pattern. Techniques used: short rows, centered decreases/increases, and slipped stitches.
You can use any yarn that does not split.
As all that is needed for a 4-repeat wide sarf that will be about 60" (150cm) long is a total of 600m (about 656 yards) of yarn, we put together these kits. The yarn is not the same as what Natalia used in her original. To be honest, I got the idea for this kit from this project by Turtelback (Rav name).
We put together a different colorway of Nordlys and a different background yarn -- we think this combo looks great together.
Nordlys is a fingering weight yarn of 75% wool/ 25% nylon, with 382 yards(349 meters)/ 100g.
It is dyed in a loooooong color runs.
Kit A: The Nordlys is color #962, a lovely blend of roses and fuchsias blending into violet and a sort of rosy brown.
As the background yarn we have Debbie Bliss' Rilato 4 ply, a 100% wool ball with 198 yards (180m) per 50 grams in Cream for a great contrast.
Each kit will include one skein of the Nordlys color-run yarn plus two of the solid cream colored skeins for a total of 778 yards.
Kit B: The Nordlys here is #961 is a great mix of colors. This runs into indigo, teal, puple, magenta, fuchsia, and amber. Gorgeous.
Paired with it is another Nordlys in a solid colorway, a soft medium grey.
So Kit B will have one skein of each for a total of 764 yards.
Reminder: the pattern must be gotten from Natalia's Ravely page here.
