Rios is an amazing yarn -- it can be considered a light worsted weight and it also works well as a DK weight.  Each skein is a a 100% superwash merino, plied, with  210 yards (192m) per 100g skein.

About our suggested pattern:
I absolutely fell in love with this Steps Hat by Lavish Craft -- so interesting to knit and a marvelous look overall -- and when I realized that one only needs one skein of Rio, well how could I not bring it to your attention?

To quote the designer:  Descending Sized Step Motifs Swirl Upward Between Twisted Stitch Outlines.

This hat is worked from the brim to the top in the round.

Yum!

Be sure to get the pattern from the designer on her Ravelry page here.  We are simply offering a few colorways of Rios to choose from to knit this.

Of course, there are lots and lots of patterns that work beautifully with Rios. This is only one suggestion.

Click here and look at these (on Ravelry), all by Lavish Craft, all originally knit with Rios with some using more than just one skein and some again being one-skein-wonders!

Colorways

We have the following colorways in Rios right now. They are all almost-solids, with subtle variations of tone but overall one color:

1.  Sunset:  think of sunflowers in a summer field

2. Purple Mystery:  deep and rich royal purple

3. Cape Cod Gray:  a perfect neutral, medium gray

4.  Aguas: slightly more variation of tone than the others, this a blending of evergreen and pine.
