Back in stock!
We are very pleased to be able to bring back these bracelets with a very simple and oh-so-lovely look.
Called River Bed Bracelets, they are made from high quality stone chips of semi-precious stones with size 8/0 beads interspersed. The result reminds me of the intriguing bed of a stream or river, with the many shapes and forms and varying colors formed as the water rushes over.
The one on this page is made with multi-colored stones of Fancy Jasper.
This is an intriguingly varied mix of colors. I see cream and rose and golden brown, some violets and ambers and a multitude of green tones as well.
As these are natural stones, each time they come in the overall look is a bit different. Our current stock has a lot of cool colors, this one showing mostly variations of greens with some ambers and creams.
For this bracelet, we chose to a thread with an almost copper hue -- if you would like a gold or even a silver or green, that could look very good. Let me know if you have a preference; otherwise I will choose for you.
The 8/0 beads that we used here were light caramel ceylon ones -- a creamy pearl-like bead that we felt looked great with the mix. Yours will be similar.
Please note: The photo shows a copper toggle clasp with four rings -- we only a few of those left. Your clasp might be a bit different, chosen to work well with the whole.
The bracelet kit as it comes can make a piece between 7" and 8" long. If you need more length, you can simply start and end the bracelet with a few rows of the 8/0 beads alone. There will be plenty of these included to allow for this.
Everything except the knitting needles (we used size 0/ US 2mm) is included in the kit -- about 150 each of the stone chips, and the 8/0 beads, the spool of thread and a copper-look three-ring clasp.
Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern. We offer three options. I know some knitters might already have made similar bracelets or feel competent to knit this without. If you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed."
If you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you via email, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
We are delighted with the look of this -- a most intriguing bracelet that draws the eye and is a delight to wear.
