Here is the fifth and final scarf in the series of non-traditional shaping for scarves, by Jennifer Dassau.

To quote the amazing designer:

A new take on the ruffle shawl, knit sideways in three garter stitch wedges which cleverly intersect. Increases and decreases shape Rufflebye from tip to tip, while two sets of short rows throughout create a crescent shape and a gentle ruffle edging.

Such fun!

All that is needed is fingering weight yarn -- the original used one skein of Indigodragonfly MCN Sock (80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon, 375 yards).

The finished size is 10” deep at center; 45” from tip to tip if pulled straight. Rufflebye forms a natural semi-circle and measures 40” along inner semi-circumference, and 72” along outer semi-circumference, measured without stretching. The 12-stitch ruffle is approximately 2.6” and begins as soon as there are enough stitches.

Plus Jennifer includes notes with instructions for how to adjust for using different amounts of yarn.

This web page offers the pattern as a hard copy, printed out for you.

This will be tremendous fun! Choose a yarn that sings to you and have a ball!
