And here is a real beauty for those of us who enjoy cables! And who, like me, are enamored of the Celtic styled designs of Barbara Pott.

With both written line-by-line directions and charts to choose from, this is a marvelously warm cowl chock full of cables reminiscent of glorious Celtic knots.

Sandell Cowl requires only about 520 yards of a worsted weight yarn that will give you 16 stitches over 22 rows for a 4" square in stockinette. Barbara used a delicious silk+wool blend and size 10 needles for hers but you simply want whatever appeals to you and will get you gauge.

And you know that with all those cables, this will be a wonderfully warm piece for your neck, or the neck of someone you love!

Note that what we offer on this web page is the printed hard copy of the pattern, printed on heavy paper and slid into a sheet protector.

You can choose the downloadable PDF version of the pattern (instead of the hard copy printed out) -- your choice.

This might be a bit challenging to knit but as it is an accessory it will go be a great template for expanding your knitting skills and keep your interest throughout.

As well as being tremendous fun.
