When I was in kindegarten (and I won't tell you how many years ago that was), we were given Report Cards that evaluated, "Works and plays well with others."
Well, here are some new sets of yarns specially selected to work and play well with each other!
Our Sets! are close cousins to our Orphan Skeins.
The difference between them and our Grab Bags is that here you can see exactly what you are going to get.
What makes them similar is that they are also offered at great discounts.
A wonderful way to let your imagination roam free!
These yarns are both fingering weight and what struck me was how they repeat the same colors, one to the other, while having been dyed in very different manners by very different yarn companies.
Rainbow is my name for a colorway in Ella Rae Lace Merino, a plied 100% wool, and with 460 yards (420m)/ 100g. There are all the colors of the rainbow and then some. I see red into orange into gold into green into aqua into blue into cobalt into fuchsia. Wow.
Disfraz is a colorway hand-painted by Malabrigo. in their Sock yarn. Made up of a plied 100% superwash merino, each skein has about 440 yards/ 100g. The colorway is a speckled one, on a cream beginning, repeating many of the same beautiful hues. I see gold and yellow, teal and green, puple and fuchsia and blends of all.
These two complement each other beautifully. I am sure there is an amazingly awesome project in their future!
