This is another version of our very popular Flying Feathers bracelet series.
Every now and then I find some beads that simply take my breath away. The daggers we found for this bracelet are really unusual.
The daggers we can today offer in the kit here are what is called "backlit" -- the colors have a lovely glow. One side of these daggers are silver, etched in a texture, and the other are translucent pinks, greens, blues, purples.
As a result (and I threaded all the daggers on facing in the same direction) sometimes they look silver and sometimes the colors show. The top photo shows them facing so that the silver side is showing; the second photo shows the pink. And of course, as it is worn, both sides flicker in and out.
The bracelet design is one we have offered in the past in different colorways. We name this one after one of my very favorite colorways from The Unique Sheep, a silver-y gray with subtle highlights of these very colors.
For this bracelet kit, we have the daggers teamed up with a mix of mostly silver 8/0 beads with a few color lined ones to mirror the colors of the daggers. The thread I used was a marled silver, again with the colors subtly swirling ; the clasp is a diamond-shaped toggle with intriguing swirls all through the metal. The result is just lovely.
This is a real delight to wear. It gives a marvelous "swish" feeling on the wrist. :-)
Every kit will come with the thread, the clasp, plenty of 8/0 beads, and enough daggers to make a bracelet that is about 7 1/2" to 8".
The original used size 0 US/ 2mm knitting needles (not included in kit).
Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern.
We offer three options. I know some knitters have made so many of our knitted bracelets that they might feel they do not need another pattern. That's fine --- simply choose "No Pattern Needed."
Alternatively, if you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you via email, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
This one is just simply and wonderfully fun!
