From Sweet Georgia Yarns, here is a lovely sock blank in Snow Queen colorway.
What is a sock blank?
A sock blank comes machine knit in a Stockinette stitch tube.
To work, you would pull one end from the tube to unravel. You may wish to work straight from the tube or wind it into a ball / cupcake.
Sock blanks provide a unique way to dye colour gradients seamlessly as they are dyed directly on the knitted fabric.
Knitting or crocheting from a sock blank is “crinkly,” but the crinkles block out perfectly for a smooth, beautiful finish, ensuring you have a magical colour-changing experience.
Each blank is 80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon 425 yards / 388 m per 4 oz / 115g skein
Snow Queen is described as a "...frost-kissed rose in the early waking hours, a whisper of the incoming winter, is an enchanting vision."
This is a limited-edition sock blank colourway.
The colors include (and here I quote Sweet Georgia): cool aqua, cream, and lavender flowing into chocolate and orchid. They describe these as blending as gracefully as snow settles onto our quiet garden bed, promising a colourful escape as you knit the winter away.
Some suggested patterns: Colour Crests, Kodila, Eskra Attu (knit) or Solna (crochet).
