Back in stock!
I fell in love with this lovely shawl by Simone Kereit of OwlCat Designs. And just had to bring in kits in the exact yarn and the exact colorways she used.
Please note you should get the pattern for Splish Splash directly from her through her Ravelry page. What we offer is the yarn for the kit.
Here is what Simone writes about the design:
This shawl with its frivlous candy edging brings to mind poolside fun, water and summer deserts, as well as rainbows, which just so happen to also appear when the water gets splish-splashed and sprayed about!
Enjoy life’s summer while you can and remember:
Life is uncertain, eat dessert first!
Splish Splash is a shawl with a fun and frilly brioche knit edge.
All the stitches needed have explanations and linked video tutorials and you are only required to do a few brioche decreases here, the rest of the pattern is all regular knitting!
Slip stitches and a fancy looking Estonian lace increase happen all before the brioche fun begins!
The top down shawlette is just the right size to sit on your shoulder and to be fun to knit, yet remains protable, for that poolside vacation knitting!
The Yarn and Colorways
Yes, the yarn is from Malabrigo, their Mechita, (100% Superwash Merino; 420
yards / 385 m per 100 g/ 3.5 oz skein) .
Simone used one skein each in two contrasting colors; specifically she knit her original in Water Green (turquoise; C1) and Arco Iris (multi; C2).
And that is exactly what is in this kit. One skein each.
