Long long ago I fell hard for Prism Yarns' Wild Stuff. I loved the wild colors and the amazing changing textures and the beautiful designs I could create.
Well time passed and I moved onto other loves. Recently though I "found" it again and just had to have some!
And so we have just brought in some gorgeous Prism Yarn's "Stuff" -- small quantities in Wild Stuff and in Layers Stuff.
These are full skeins, with 300 yards each.
I might be jumping the gun a bit to remind you now of holiday knitting but these are absolutely perfect for creating a piece to compliment your own glamour or to gift to someone you love very much indeed.
Here I quote the Prism website about Stuff Yarns:
Prism is the exclusive manufacturer of Stuff Yarns™.
Thirty to Forty individually hand-dyed, color and gauge-coordinated yarns that are tied together end-to-end by hand. When knit, the yarns change from one to another in varying lengths.
1. We brought in Jet in Wild Stuff. This is primarily black with amazing threads of glowing color throughout. (Sorry, sold out.)
2. We also have Ebony, a more subtle black with some silver and just a bit of gold.
Wild Stuff has as its distinguishing characteristics:
Wild Stuff has a lot of eyelash, metallic, and other highly textured yarns. Wild Stuff has some wool, kid mohair and other animal fibers in it.
3. In Layers Stuff, we brought in Kale, rich and vibrant hues and tones of green. Perfect for singing of growth.
And here is a bit about Layers Stuff:
Layers Stuff is similar in composition to Wild Stuff, but has no eyelash.
You will find plenty of texture and glitz, plus a generous 300 yards in a full skein.
Pattern Perhaps, With or Without Beads
We brought in a pattern designed especially for Stuff by Laura Bryant (the genius behind Prism) for a one-skein scarf called Flounced Scarf. This is a design that is easy to knit using short rows and can be embellished even further (her suggestion) with beads and paillettes added to the yarn tails if desired.
You will have to use your imagination to see how it will look with either of our colorways.
Take a look at the drop-down menu labeled "Pattern" under the top photo on this page.
(a) You can decide to get the yarn with No Pattern.
(b) You can decide to get the yarn with a Printed Pattern of the Flounced Scarf included.
(c) You can decide to get the Printed Pattern plus roughly 20g of assorted beads to add as you wish to the yarn tails and make this awesome scarf a truly "bling-ful" accessory.
