The beads are amazing.
I found these special Mood (Mirage) beads. They change colors depending on temperatures -- the outside temps as well as the temperature of your skin as you wear them. These particular ones are called "hot pinks" and don't run the full gamut of colors. Rather they stay within a range from a gold through a pink into a purple.
To me they are a Sunrise....
So I had to play with these!
Threaded on silver thread, alternating Mood Beads in the 6mm size and the 9mm size with some 8/0 beads, then knit in a design very similar to our Fire Polish Crystal Swirls.
I finished them off with a small (though very very powerful) magnetic clasp, as I wanted the clasp to be somewhat hidden and not really part of the design.
I am really pleased.
In a way, they remind me of berries on a vine. And I love how the colors change as I wear them!
You will notice quite a lovely variance of colors in the photos on this web page. Some were shot after being warmed with a hair dryer; some were shot after being cooled in the refrigerator; some were just held in the hand before their photos, and some just lay out in room termperature.
We wanted you to get a full feel for how these might look in varying circumstances.
Neat-o, don't you agree?
Unfortunately though there are limited quantities. I brought in all I could find but whether they can be replenished at a later day is unknown. Just want you to be aware of this.
Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern.
We offer three options.
This is essentially our Fire Polish Crystal Swirls bracelet design as well as the same one we used for the Emerald (Agates) of May Birthstone Bracelet. Honestly, the only real difference being that the beads are threaded onto the wire in a particular order.
I know many of you have already have made other bracelets from us along very similar lines. If you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed" using the drop-down menu under the top photo on this page.
If you would like a printed copy of the pattern, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Again, just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
