A wonderful new pattern from Jackie E-S

Now here is how Jackie describes the design:

Circle your shoulders in a soft glow of color when the air begins to cool at sunset.

The pictured model is knitted with a slow striping yarn in a textured beaded lace pattern stitch reminiscent of the hues of backlit clouds along the horizon of a beautiful sunset over a glacial lake.

This infinity wrap is knit circularly as a large tube with lace eyelets worked on 5 of the 6 pattern rounds. If you have not knit lace where there is lace patterning every row, the Sunset Wrap is a good introduction. And even if you have, you’ll enjoy how relaxing and fun this project is.

The beads give just a hint of light as though the last rays of sun are reflecting off wisps of clouds on the horizon.

Because Sunset Wrap is pleasingly reversible, you can wear it in a variety of ways.

The pattern calls for 585 yards (535 m) in a fingering weight yarn. And 200 size 6/0 beads, about 17 grams worth.

The finished size as shown came to be 40" circumference by 16" long (101.6 by 40.64 cm) as measured between the outer edges of the scallops along top and bottom of the tube. Jackie includes guidance for adjusting the size in the project instructions.

So a marvelous adventure in a fairly easy knit -- this will be absolutely wonderful to knit, to wear, to give.
