A lovely find!

We have been working with Chrissy, the designer behind Left Side Knits on a special new shawl and in the meantime have been much taken with some of the other beauties she has designed.

Here is Synchrony Shawl, a most lovely crescent shaped shawl knit in one piece from the center-top outward.

It is shaped by all the increasing done on the edging. With both charts and written instructions, knitters are able to choose the most comfortable way to follow the pattern.

You will want a fingering weight yarn, a total of 430 - 675 yards (393 - 617 m). The gauge you seek (though not of paramount importance in a shawl but this will give a similar look) is 24 stitches/ 36 rows to 4".

As you can see from the photos, Chrissy used a yarn that has loooooong color repeats. We don't carry the one she used but any of the Melody yarns from JojoLand or the Gradiance sets from The Unique Sheep would work beautifully for this. Or even go for a solid color (or two or three) or a handpaint that sings to you.

We have some great choices waiting for you on our Fingering Weight Yarn pages.

We offer here the hard copy of the pattern -- that is twelve (12!!) pages printed out for you and send in a sheet protector.

This is a relatively simple design that will be most fun to knit!
