What a fun design! A straightforward knit, a pleasure to work on and lovely to wear.
By Andrea Mowry of Drea Renee Knits , the Shift is a most unique and delightful cowl.
Make sure to get your pattern directly from Andrea's Ravelry page. What we have here is yarn for a beautiful concoction.
Here is what Andrea writes:
This cowl is the perfect all-the-time accessory! And the answer for all of those knitters out there who love to knit shawls, but have a hard time styling them.
A fun and engaging knit with shifting colors, that looks like an asymmetrical triangle shawl, and it only takes a fiddle-free second to throw it on as the finish to every outfit!

Yarn and Colorways
What is recommended is 3 colors of Sport Weight Yarn, 200 yds each.
Our kits do not use the same yarn as Andrea's original. Instead we have, from Prism Yarn, their Merino Mia. Each skein is 190 yards/ 2 ounces of 100% merino wool.
Andrea used three colors that are lightly variegated, one being dark, one medium, and one light. We offer three colors for the kit that are absolutely perfect together (in my oh-so-humble opinion), all lightly variegated.
1. Ebony is at first glance a black. A closer look and you see it is a sublte tonal mix of black and charcoals, the whole being by far greater than the sum of its parts.
2. Fog is again deceptively gorgeous. At first you see a medium gray colorway. It is really a play on many grays of differening tones, plus it also includes lilac and pale sky blue. So the whole has amazing depth.
3. Plum Dandy is a tonal blend of rich royal purples with some lighter wisterias and lilacs and violets as well.
Your kit will consist of one skein of each of these described here. Yum!
