Another absolutely lovely design by Ilga Leja as part of her glorious Beach collection.

To quote our amazing designer:

"As rivers make their way to the ocean, swirling, flowing, they create currents and eddies and eventually merge with the sea in tidal streams.

This stole, worked on the bias in a Lace Garter Stitch Pattern, reflects the constant movement of tidal waters. The gently ruffled ends, streaming outwards, represent the melding of river and ocean.

Two versions of this pattern are included: as a scarf or as a full-sized stole.

The original (shown as the stole version) was done in Lucy Neatby’s Celestial Merino, 100% wool (280 m./310 yds. per 100 g. skein), colour: “Aquarius”.

Here are the overall specifications of the design:

Size: Scarf : 122 cm./48 in. long and 20 cm./8 in. wide

Stole: 162 cm./64 in. long and 33 cm./13 in. wide

Level: Easy

Suggested Yarn: 275 m./300 yds. (550 m./600 yds.) of fingering or sport weight yarn

Needles: 4.5 mm. (US 7)

Gauge: 20 sts and 20 rows = 10 cm./4 in. square when knit in the Pattern Stitch

Quite beautiful -- it will look amazing in just about any fingering or sport weight yarn that you choose.

I really like this one.
