The folks at Madeline Tosh (MadTosh) have teamed up with the designer Dawn Barker to created colors that will yield what she calls "assigned pooling."

There are a number of her designs on Ravelry so you can get an idea of how these yarns can be used, though there are lots of marvelous pooling designs by other designers as well.  I got 40 matches when I simply put "assigned pooling" in the Advanced Search engine on Ravelry's Pattern page.

A very intriguing idea and a wonderful way to play with colors.

Regardless of how you use them, these yarns are pretty darn spectacular.  We brought in two colorways.

I quote the MadTosh folks here:

Behold…Paper Cuts and Guernica.

Inspired by Henri Matisse’s cut-outs and Pablo Picasso’s anti-war masterpiece of the same name, these 2 colors offer a complementary color story: The bright pop of Paper Cuts juxtaposed with Guernica’s strong neutral.

Guernica features speckles (mostly tones of black and charcoal with magenta) on a cream background plus strong swaths of black.  (Currently sold out but more are on their way -- if you would like to pre-order one, let me know.)

Papercuts sings of strong bright colors, in the orange family + tones of bright pink fuchsia.
