A lovely new yarn from Manos, knit into a lovely new pattern by Lisa R. Myers. Here is Twined Flowers, the kit in the original colors that you see in the finished wrap shown on this page.
And we also have just brought in a second kit in more subdued colors, a very sophisticated look overall.
The pattern is free and needs to be gotten here.
A description of the new yarn:
A happy blend of superwash merino wool and modal (a manufactured cellulose fiber), Feliz has lovely drape without sacrificing wool’s “bounce”.
Our popular space-dyed colors take on a heathery look that blends the hues beautifully in this yarn.
For a finished size of 7.5" x 90", all that is needed is 2 skeins of the new Manos del Uruguay Feliz (70% merino superwash, 30% modal; approx. 100g/350 yds), and one of their delicious Fino (70% merino extrafine, 30% silk; approx. 100g/490 yds), 1 sk.
Kit A: Original colorway
The colors as seen in the finished shawl photos are exactly what will be in our kits:
Wildflowers in Feliz, with rose and goldenrod and violet and blue and sage (2 skeins in each kit)
Amethyst Earring (one skein, an almost-solid of deep rich purples) in Fino.
Kit B: New
Here we brought in Marble in Feliz (2 skeins again). This is a soft blending of quite pale pastel pinks, blues, grays, and creams.
The Fino is Ascot, an almost-solid with navy and charcoal blended (one skein).
Yum and yum again!
