Unexpected Colors - Newsletter, 12/7/21

by

Walking quietly in the wood -- or as quiet as a carpet of crinkly leaves will allow.  The trees are mostly bare; the undergrowth has died down as well.

And then, all of a sudden, a pop of almost-fluorescent green! As if the moss has a special mission to remind us of color all through the gray months.

Sometimes you have to really look to see colors and sometimes they just jump out at you.

Snowman Socks: Kits

Snowman Socks: Kits

This one makes me smile each time I look at it!

And what I especially like is that these socks don't lose their "meaning" after the holiday season is over.  Perfect for snuggling into throughout the colder months....

Come see!

Color Morph: Kits

This wrap is a marvelous creation of colors melding and morphing with long color run yarns.  We chose different colorways of basically the same yarns as the ones the designer used (hers is shown here) -- our web page shows you the colors we picked out.

For our kits, we used a special  Zauberball which is a special limited edition with hemp as part of the fiber content.

Come look!

Boa: Novelty Yarn (Chunky)

This is a really pretty quirky yarn that is a delight to knit (or crochet) and would make for great quick gifts.

I could see a garter stitch scarf (super-easy), a cuff for a pair of mittens, a head band, or a brim of a hat.

Soft and delicious, and great fun to work with.

Nectar: New MKAL with Lily Go
Nectar: New MKAL with Lily Go

I am always very flattered when Lily asks me to put together some kits for an upcoming MKAL.

All I know is that this will be a beaded cowl and we worked with Lily to come up with some special kits.

Though it technically starts December 8th, don't let that deter you.  These Mystery Knit Alongs are set up so you can join in at almost any time.
