Schoppel-Wolle Wunderkleckse is a most intriguing yarn, a tie-dyed sock yarn that quite lovely.
This yarn is splotch dyed in a pre-knit piece and then wound to create a one of a kind ball. It is a soft, strong, and washable yarn made up of 60% superwash wool/ 25% mohair/ 15% nylon with 400 yards/ 100 gram skein.
Wunderkleckse translates literally as Wonderful Blobs. Isn't that great? :-)
The only problem is finding a pattern that suits it well and allows it to show its beauty.
Now take a look at the lovely "I Want To Knit" Shawl shown here (all the photographs taken by Monika Dechene). This is a free pattern via Ravelry and takes only one ball of this yarn!
Designed by Kelli (knitterbunny on Ravelry) this is a wonderful use of a very quirky colorway.
Need it be said that I highly recommend this as a wonderful quick project? I am casting on today...
We have two of their new colorways to offer:
1. Wunsch Kleckse (the literal translation of this one is "Wish Blobs"): a wonderful mix of colors, on a cream background. There is true green as well as some olive, spring green and yellow; there is black as well as some violet and red.
2. Kraut und Ruben (translates to Herb and Beet)
Either one of these will make a stunning shawl. So hurry over to Ravelry and nab an I Want To Knit pattern for yourself.
