A vibrant and colorful cowl, take a look here at the Best Friends Bandana Cowl by Amy Gunderson!

We have a great booklet the folks at Skacel sent to us, with lots of yummy data about their yarns plus a number of free patterns.  One of these is this very cowl!

We only have five of these, so the first five orders will get the free version of the pattern in this Magalog provided by Skacel.

Once those are gone, you should get your pattern directly from the designer on her Ravelry page here.

The Design

Here is what the designer writes:

The Best Friends Bandana Cowl is designed to be a rewarding knit that doubles as an extraordinary gift.

What sets it apart is its distinctive construction method: it starts as a triangular shape which helps it to lie flat against the chest. Then, it seamlessly transitions into a cozy circular cowl that descends gracefully to a stylish tip.

Gifting this cowl to your best friend is like giving them a warm, fashionable hug to cherish, a reminder of the special bond you share, and a tangible expression of your friendship that they can wear with joy. It’s a gift that symbolizes the warmth and comfort of your relationship, making it a truly meaningful and heartfelt gesture.

Yarn and Colorways

This project recommends one ball each of 3 colors of Edition 3 by Schoppel. This yarn is 100% merino and each ball has 164 yards (150 meters)/ 50g.

These yarns have been dyed and plied so that they constantly change color. The designer recommends that to be sure the yarns stay in the correct order, one should place each yarn in a bag labeled with its color number.

The original used these colors (in this order)
2515 (CC1)
2296 (CC2)
2361 (CC3)

We brought in these exact yarns used to knit the original!

So your kit will consist of one ball of each of these. :-)
