Giant smiles over here! We found more of these gorgeous daggers!
This is our Bird of Paradise II, with some absolutely amazing looking Marea Peacock/Gold daggers.
This is a variation of a bracelet we had originally designed a number of years ago, with some striking purple peacock dagger beads in the smaller 3x10mm size. It has been reincarnated a few times, as beads go in and out of stock. We love the design and when we find stunning 3x10mm daggers, this is my first thought of what to make with them.
These daggers remind us of the fantastic tropical Bird of Paradise, both the bird with glorious colors through all its feathers or the flower of amazing hues. This is a knit bracelet which highlights the daggers, and makes their texture and color stand out in glory.
With these smaller daggers the daggers are placed fairly densely and the whole is a stunning and solid piece of beauty. A true showcase to the daggers.
These daggers are a glowing mix of greens and roses and purples and golds that seem to almost give off their own light.
We matched the thread to the daggers -- used a rich rose/magenta -- though a gold or green or silver thread would also look great.
If you have a preference on thread color, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
The thread color is matched as well with a 8/0 bead color and thus the entire look works together.
For our original bracelet we used a clasp to carry on the gold tones of the daggers and add to the overall look. A silver tone clasp would also work with these.
Again, if you have a preference, let me know.
The clasp might be of a different style than you see here but selected to work well with the beads and thread of your kit.
Each of these kits will include a spool of metallic thread, 8/0 beads and about 125 (+ or - a few) of the daggers. All that you will need to provide your own knitting needles -- we used size 0/2mm.
The pattern is the same as for all of the Flying Feather Bracelets -- you have the option to get it or not via the drop-down menu.
Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern.
We offer three options. I know some of you might already have made other bracelets from us that are made along the same lines, the only real changes being the beads and the colors. If you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed."
If you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.
We also can email the pattern to you, though I have to do it manually and usually send it right before I mail the kit (please be patient). Just make sure that drop-down menu is set as you would like before you check out.
This is a very easy bracelet to make ---enjoyable to make and wonderful to wear.
Quite lovely indeed.
