There is something very special (to my eye) in the designs of Lisa McFetridge, particularly her hat patterns.  This Oak & Acorn Hat is no exception and perfect for this time of year.

Yarn and Colorways

What is needed is light worsted, two colorways the largest sizes reeding 145 yards + 90 yards respectively. 

Our kits do not use the same yarn as what Lisa used for her original -- you can see what we have in the inset photo on the top picture on this page and again below that.  Each kit will give you enough yardage for the largest size plus extra for a pompom if you so desired. 

We chose colorways that are very similar to Lisa's original. 

1.  In Ella Rae Superwash Classic Wool (100% superwash wool, 219 yards (200m)/ 100g ball) we have the colorway Rich Royal. 

2. In Rios from Malabrigo (100% sueprwash merino, 210 yards (192m)/ 100g) we pair the rich blue with Sunset, a vibrant gold.
