I have been thinking about this wrap for a long time, well ever since MarinJaKnits released it as a pattern so that is over two years.
I love how the design keeps changing -- no fear of getting bored.
So I finally am giving it a stab at offering a kit to make it with.
Make sure to get your pattern directly from the designer.
Here you can get it via Ravelry.
And here you can get it via her website.
What we offer is a kit with yarns to knit it with. The pattern cost has not been factored in.
The Design
Here is what Marin writes:
This is a fun sampler with a number of different stitch techniques, including slipped stitch, mosaic, short row, cable, bobbles, bubbles & more. It would be a great “stash” buster or “ends user upper” and fun knit-a-long project.
It includes a number of techniques people might like to try out. No section is prohibitively long, (not too many rows) so a technique you might not love should be a short-lived experience, rather than a large commitment!
This allows you to dip your toes into many things, some new, some old.
Yarns and Colorways
Basically, this wrap can be knit in anything you choose. The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, a series of small skeins. Per her web page, a total of 1450 - 1550 yards (1326 - 1417 m) in roughly 7 colors would work well.
You can see what we've put together in the inset photo on the top picture on this page and again below that.
We took quite a few (21) Unicorn Tails from Madeline Tosh (100% superwash merino/ 52 yards (47m) each), plus 3 balls of Dolly Baby (100% superwash merino with 255 yards (233 meters) / 50g ball) in a solid dusty blue.
This will give you a total of 1,920yards which should be more than enough.
Your kit will include:
a) three balls of Dolly Baby in dusty blue
b) 3 each of Unicorn Tails in the following colorways:
Citrus (orange family)
Lost in Trees (tonal greens)
Sugar Coat (cream)
Coquette Deus (rich wines)
Translation (sky blues)
Fatal Attraction (deep cool red family)
Onyx (black)
