I often am very drawn to the designs of Paola Albergamo and when I saw her new Ammaliante i was definitely intrigued.

Get the pattern directly from the designer on her Ravelry page here.  What we offer are kits of the exact yarn and colorways she used for her original.

The Design

Here is what Paola writes:

Ammaliante (enchanting in Italian) is a simple cowl, featuring a fun stitch that reminds me of small, colorful feathers.

The cowl is knitted in the round, with ribbed borders in CC both on the bottom and on the top to keep it from rolling.

The stitch pattern looks much more complicated than it actually is, because it’s based on a mosaic structure, i.e. it’s worked using only one color at a time. The colorwork “movement” is underlined by small cables that are very easy to work without a cable needle.

Yarn and Colorways

The yarn is  Malabrigo Yarn Mechita (100% Merino; 420 yards 384 meters/100 g).

Your kit will include one skein each of these:

MC: 247 Whale’s Road -- this is a tonal blend of varying depths of blues, including some rich teals and violets..

CC: 013 Oro --  striking dark golden tones.
