I totally fell in love with the crocheted designs by Astrid Schandy that I saw here on Ravelry

Contacting this amazing designer, I got her permission to put together kits for these and share some of her photos as well.

I decided the best way to start this process was to select a simpler pattern, using only two colors of yarns, and present that one first.

So here is a kit for her lovely Lighthouse and Fish Potholders, perfect as we move into the summer months!

Make sure to get the pattern directly from Astrid on her Ravelry page here. What we offer in this kit are the yarns as described below.

The Design

Here is what Astrid writes:

I’m obviously inspired with potholders… whether to use them ourselves, or to gift to others, it is the perfect small project to take and work on all over the place. And with spring here and outdoor grilling being once again possible, colourful potholders were high on my list. These are the ones needed for grilling on the beach!

The technique is interlocking crochet... With a 3mm hook, the finished size is around 22 x 25cm.

Yarn and Colorways

Unfortunately, I do not have access to the same yarns as Astrid used in her originals. However, I was able to find a very good substitute in Laines du Nord's Baby Soft.  Each ball is made up of 50% Organic Cotton + 50% Soybean Azlon and has 147 yards/ 50g.

We selected two basic colors, again to mirror Astrid's creations.  So for this kit we will be giving you one ball of White and one ball of Azure (blue).

We show these colorways in the lower lefthand corner of the top photo of this page and again below that.

Each kit will consist of one ball of each, white + blue.
