This is for one full set of beads as specified for the Beli Shawl.

Abbey (the designer) estimated that this shawl requires about 1,800 beads, from size 8/0 and up.

If you are going to be knitting this using lace weight yarn then each set will include a mix of 8/0s (roughly 35 grams = about 1,400 beads) plus about 50 grams (+ or -) of a mix with larger beads including (depending on available colors) 6/0s, cubes, triangles, magatamas, tear drops large and small, daggers, and fire polish crystals.

Please note that this follows the pattern which calls for lace weight yarn and these beads will not all fit on anything heavier.

Now many knitters decided to make the shawl using fingering weight yarn and that can work as well.  However, it means that some of the beads mentioned above won't be suitable.

Here again, each kit will include one container of roughtly 35 grams of mixed 8/0s to mirror the colors of your Gradiance set.

That will give you 1,400 beads, more or less.

Bear in mind that 8/0 beads will be a bit snug on the fingering weight yarn but they will work.  Having the majority of the "bling" be 8/0s ensures that the bead weight won't overwhelm the whole.

Plus we will also include a smaller container (40+ grams of this larger mix), in similar colors, but of large sizes and shapes.  Because of the fingering weight and the size of holes, we will have to leave out the daggers and tear drops.  However, we will make sure that you get a most intriguing mix of shapes and sizes.

That will be the additional beads you will need.

You will be acting as your own "engineer" of this shawl and determine at what points you will put what bead -- or, you can mix them all up and use them randomly.

Set the drop-down menu that is under the top photo on this page to the set you would like.

Please remember that you must let me know the colors of your yarn and/or the colors you'd like included.  In order for this to work at all, we have to have a good conversation going.

Give me a short statement via the "Comments" section as you check out and also send me an email via the Contact Us page. (Sometimes Comments get stripped off the order, so let's use a belt and suspenders both.)

A photo is great but monitors vary so by all means send me a picture but include a descriptive paragraph as well.

If I have any other questions, I will email you.  If you have any other questions, please contact me as well.
