This is a very lovely piece by Nim Teasdale, based quite loosely on the amazing Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

This design, Don't Panic, started out as a Mystery KAL. Well, the mystery is over but the finished shawl is so very striking that I just had to put together some kits for it.
The design has five distinct parts to reflect the story. And it has lots of options.
It will suit lace to fingering weight. The design has several possible ending points, and the outer edging can be extended for many, many rows, so the shawl can use anywhere from 488m/533y to over 1000m/1100y.
Yarn and Colorways
We have an intriguing yarn to offer for this kit, all fingering weight.
This is from Freia Fibers, the Yarn Bomb with a generous 860 yards (786m) per 200g pre-wound ball. It is 100%US Merino.
The colorway is called Fuchsia and runs from olive to green to teal to blue to purple to violet to fuchsia. Or vice verse -- it depends on the order in which it is wound.
Each kit will include one Yarn Bomb plus the beads as described below.
Beads
One can use 277 beads in total for this design, 34 beads per wedge plus 5 at the side.
The beads will be either size 6/0 or an equivalent (such as 4mm megatamas or 4x4 cubes or even 5/0 triangles). We generally like to mirror one of the colors in the Gradiance set.
If you have a preference on color, let me know; otherwise I will choose for you.
The Pattern
The kit will not automatically include the pattern.
I urge knitters to get it directly as a PDF file of the pattern from Nim via her Ravelry web page.Then you will automatically get any updates and also have a copy saved in your Rav library. In that case, set the Pattern drop-down menu to "No Pattern Needed."
Alternatively, if you decide that you would like a printed copy, please make sure the drop-down menu is set to that.
