Our friend Catie fell in love with one of the Schaefer Yarn's Memorable Women colorways (Dorothy Reade -- currently out of stock, alas) and decided to create a pair of beaded socks.
She created a beauty!
This design can work well with any of our Anne colorways -- and we do have quite a great range of Anne right now.
Anne is a great light fingering weight yarn that is 60% Merino Wool Superwash, 25% Mohair and 15% Nylon. Each skein has approximately 560 yards to its 4 ounces and generally knits up at between 7 and 8 stitches per inch. Catie used size 1 (US) needles and her gauge was 7.5 stitches to one inch.
What is needed for this great little pair is simply one skein (you'll likely have a lot left over, in fact -- Catie used about 350 yards for one pair in an average woman's size) plus about 500 of size 8/0 beads.

Fun and absolutely lovely. The beads run through the cuff -- the foot is obviously bead-free for comfort -- and sparkle like little stars.
A neat little warm weather knit. Pre-thread the beads and off you go!
