Oh my.
A beauty by Ilga Leja. This one is most lovely.
Ilga writes:
"Wrapped in the colours of the earth, Earth Maiden walks the woods.
"Her wrap is a long, rectangular stole, laced along one side. Knit from the long edge, the pattern grows organically, highlighting the random coloration of the handpainted yarn.
"Earth Maiden can wear her creation in a myriad of ways: as a shawl, as a poncho or as a wrap, with or without an I-cord closure at the front, at the back, or to the side.
"The pattern contains two versions of this wrap: a full-length version (as pictured) and a shorter version. "
Size: One size fits most. Its generous dimensions are particularly flattering for those with earthy, voluptuous proportions.
* Full-length wrap: 208 cm./82 in. long and 39 cm./15.5 in. wide
* Shorter version of the wrap: 155 cm./61 in. long and 39 cm./15.5 in. wide
Level : Intermediate
Suggested Yarn : 700 m./765 yds. (600 m./655 yds. for the shorter version) of double knitting (DK) or light worsted weight yarn
Needles: 4.5 mm. (US 7) circular needle (80 cm./32 in. recommended)
Gauge: 16 sts = 10 cm./4 in.
Ooomph! This one hits me just right.
