This is a variation on our New Fangled Necklace piece.  One of our "EarthFaire-ians" mentioned that she finds that nowadays she needs to take her glass on and off quite frequently and it becomes somewhat annoying.  She said she'd been eyeing those beaded glasses-holder-necklacey-thingies. 

What an intriguing idea!  So I went on a hunt and the rest (as they say) is history...

We can now offer this kit which consists of :

(a) 35 grams of a silver/white/crystal/black/gold mix of primarily 6/0s + 8/0s + 4mm magatama beads.  There will be no daggers. 

(b) Your choice of either silver, gold, or black thread, at least 20 yards, either the metallic threads that we use for bracelets or a silk thread (If you prefer the silk, let me know.  It will be softer on the neck but bear in mind that the silk "silver" and "gold" will not have a metallic look.) If you don't specify, I will choose for you.

(c) Two adjustable eyeglass chain ends.. Your rubber chain connectors will be either black or white with a gold or silver bead.  If you have a preference, let me know. Otherwise I will choose for you.

Note that the kit will not automatically include the pattern.

We offer three options. 

1. I know some of you might already have made our New Fangled Necklace or you might feel you can easily create your own beaded chain, given the supplies. If you feel you do not need another pattern, simply choose "No Pattern Needed."

2. If you would like a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that.

3. We also set you up with a pdf of the pattern.  In that case it will be saved in your Account on our website.
