These a simply lovely. A crochet pattern for fingerless gloves featuring the silhouette of a stag with antlers.
What I especially like is that though the designer calls this design a Christmas Deer, these fingerless gloves can last beyond the holiday season and keep you warm all winter long.

Yarn and Colorways
We did not put together kits using the same yarns that Maria used in her original.
Whereas she crocheted using a yarn with sequins threaded onto it, basically all that is needed is equivalent amounts of fingering weight yarns and that is what we have for our kits.
Our kit is shown in the inset photo on the top picture on this page and again below that.
To be honest, it is a bit unclear in the pattern exactly how much yardage is needed for each color yarn though Maria does specify that you will need a total of 416 yards for the largest size. It looks like the background (turquoise) yarn's yardage was about 218 yards for the pair which would mean that one needs just shy of 200 yards for the deer (white) yarn.

Our Kit:
A: For the background colorway (turquoise in the original) we have Araucania's Husaco Sock Kettle Dyes, 75% supoerwash merino + 25% nylon; 439 yards/ 100g. The colorway is Verdigris, a tonal blend of varying depths of rich teals.
B: For the deer shape, we have Katia's United Socks, 75% wool + 25% nylon, with 109 yards/ 25g. The colorway is a pure and simple cream. Two balls will be included in each kit (218 yards).
