What a marvelous to flowers -- great for cheering up a drab winter's day.

This Flowery Infinity Scarf is by Sandra Nesbitt. Please get the pattern from her directly via her Ravelry page here. What we offer is some gorgeous yarn and possibly beads for knitting it.

The Design
Here is what Sandra writes:
Wonderful rings of flowers in a stunning array of summer colours adorn this lace cowl.
Its a massive 6’ long so can be wrapped round not just twice but 3 times if needed. 8” wide with a lovely sculptured wavy edging. Its near enough reversible too. On the underside there is a slight difference in the flower detail which isn’t obvious when worn
The Yarn and Colorways
Sandra knit her original piece using Noro's Aya, a worsted weight yarn of cotton/silk/wool blend. Unfortunately that yarn has been discontinued.
We found a great substitute: Okunoshima. This is categorized as an Aran weight yarn, having 242 yards/ 100g, just a bit heavier than the Aya. It is made up of 35% silk + 28% wool + 20% angora + 17% mohair -- and after a wash, it blooms so beautifully and feels great.
One skein gives you less yardage than what Sandra recommends --- each kit will include two balls so you should have more than enough to make an awesome piece.
Whereas Sandra's original colorways were more tonal, we brought in two variegated colorways each with the loooooong color spans that Noro is famour for. You can see them in the inset photo on the bottom righthand corner of the top picture on this page and again below that.
1. #05 Nagato: The main colors I see are tones of olive, teal, salmon, and lime.
2. #18 Naruto is a bit cooler overall. I mainly notice rose, aqua, indigo, violet and greens.
These are both great flower colorways.
Beads?
No, Sandra didn't use beads but don't these marvelous flowers almost cry out for some embellishments?
We have added an option (via the drop-down menu labeled "Kits") to either get the yarn alone or yarn plus 20g of size 2/0 beads (that gives you roughly 70 beads) to place where you decide.
If you have a preference on bead color, tell me. Otherwise I will chose for you.
