The Design
I quote Jem here:
Gone Fishing is the perfect project for when you want to take some time out.
It starts off as a simple, meditative knit as you work a relaxing stretch of smooth stockinette stitch, and then bead by bead little fishes begin to appear.
It’s so satisfying seeing the shoal of fish start to grow as they swim across the middle of the shawl.
Simple k2tog, yo lace stitches form lacy air bubbles from the fish, and once they are completed it’s time to expand on the lace stitches to work the border. A pretty feather and fan lace stitch completes the design, creating soft waves that ripple along the bottom of your shawl.
Yarn and Colorways
Jem further writes:The shawl is knitted with lace yarn but the beads provide a reassuring weight to the drape, so your shawl sits nicely in place around your shoulders.
I have been working with her on putting together this kit and am very pleased with what we can offer today.
We couldn't get the exact yarn that Jen used in her original but instead (following her suggestion) offer a lace weight yarn that is just a bit lighter and thus gives a bit more yardage. Findley from Juniper Moon Farms, is a 50/50 merino/ silk blend with 798 yards 100g.

We brought in these colorways:
Dove: a soft gray
Atmosphere: a light "true" blue.
Beads
Beads are an intregal part of this design.
Each kit will include size 8/0 beads from Miyuki (which is considered to make the highest quality bead worldwide).
We checked and have matched as well as we could the original bead colors used by Jem in her shawl.

Dark Blue (717 needed we will include about 20g, which will give you about 800)
Black (42 needed; we'll give you about 3g which is roughly120 beads of Black)
Silver (616 needed; your kit will have about 20g, or about 800 beads)
Orange (493 needed; your kit will have about 15g of or roughly 600 beads)
Light Blue (296 needed; we'll give you at least 8g which is about 320 beads)
Yellow Gold (512 needed; we'll include about 15g or about 600 beads)
