A beauty from the needles of Sharon Dreifuss (She-Knits). This pattern was done as a KAL and just completed recently -- and I am delighted we have it to offer.
Gwen's Garden is a shawl with a gentle curve to it. I think that it is what is called a crescent shape as compared to a triangle with a point at the end -- a shape I much prefer personally and find more flattering in general. Done with only 400 yards more or less of fingering weight yarn, the design has beads added (via the crochet-hook method) to make twenty-four lovely flower motifs.
Such a marvelous idea!
The pattern has both complete text and complete charts so you can work from whichever format is best for you. Also Sharon provides free She-Knits video links from her website that will show you how to do things which you might not be 100% sure of. For example there are videos showing how to apply beads with a crochet hook as well as how to work some of the rows within the pattern.
MATERIALS:
~ 400 yds fingering weight yarn.
~ 1 pair U.S.#4 needles (or needle size to get gauge desired)
