Haylage is a beautiful piece by Linnea Ornstein that gives a marvelous opportunity to play with color.
We have put together kits -- they use different yarn than what Linnea originally knit hers with but we are thrilled with the possibilities!

The Design
Here is what Linnea writes:
A field of timothy grass at different stages of ripening, swaying slowly against the bright evening sky. Timothy grass is one of the most common varieties of grass used in hay.
The Haylage shawl makes use of negative space to give life and excitement to the grass landscape.
The Yarn and Colorways
You can see our yarn in the inset photo on the lower righthand section of the top picture on this page and again below that.
BC: Instead of the bright evening sky that Linnea envisioned, think of the sky after twilight. Our background color yarn is Malabrigo's Sock, a plied fingering weight yarn of 100% superwash merino, each skein having 440 yards (402m)/ 100g.
The colorway is Whale's Road, a rich tonal variegation of mostly deep blues and purples with a fewl lighter tones peeking through.
One skein will be in each kit.
Note that this has a bit less yardage than Fino, which is what Linnea used. There aren't a lot of finished pieces on the Projects pages and of them, very little in the way of specifics, but from the data on this one, it looks like it will work just fine.
Note also that you are in charge of the size of this shawl.
Linnea writes: "Start with the smaller charts when they fit in the stitch count, then knit the charts in any order you like. Decide how deep or wide you want the shawl by just continuing to knit increase rows or adding more charts until you’re happy."
CC: The contrast colors are from Sweet Georgia, their mini-skein yarn set called Party of Five. These five small-ish skeinettes are all Tough Love Sock, 80% superwash merino + 20% nylon, with 105 yards (96m) per 28g skein.
This set is named Garden Party. The colorways are Dark Orchid, Jam Tart, Huckleberry, Lavender, and Summer Sky.
One set of this Party of Five will be in each kit.
