The Design
Here is how the designer describes this:
Bold symmetrical reversible slouchy beanie. The hat is knitted in the round in a regular occurring motif pattern worked in the Brioche technique, finishing with a star crescendo on top.
The main pattern is for a long bodied, slightly slouchy hat knitted in Aran weight yarn. Other options to create shorter bodied, snugger fitting, less slouchy beanie and in DK weight yarn are given too.
Yarn and Colorways
Our kits do not use the same yarns as Sandra's original hats. You can see what we offer in the top photo (the insert on the bottom part of that picture) and again below that.
Her original yarns were aran weight and these are as well. Each kit includes one each of these:
Schoppel Reggae: 100% merino with 109 yards/ 50g ball.
Noro Kashirukuru: 40% silk + 30% wool + 20% cashmere + 10% nylon, with 180 yards/ 75g skein.

Reggae Ombre # 2307: this is a colorway with long color runs, mainly blue into aqua into ecru into pink.
Kashirukuru #7 Pacific: an almost-solid in rich royal blue.

Reggae Melange #9200: Not quite a solid, this has subtle variations of tone, overall in a neutral gray mixed with ecru.
Kashirukuru #75 Capri: A vibrant almost-solid with tonalities of turquoise.
