Every now and then I am offered by a yarn company a marvelous discount on some quite intriguing yarn that just sings to be used together -- and being a yarn-junkie, I almost always say yes. :-)
Here are two pairs that I just could not resist ...
*****
The yarns are both from Lana Gatto, made in Italy:
1. Alpaca Bright is 40% Baby Alpaca +18% Merino Wool + 36% Nylon + 6% Polyester, with 196 yards per 25 grams. A marvelous alternative to the more usual mohair/silk blend, this is perfect for those who find mohair a bit uncomfortable. There are beautiful soft threads of silver throughout each ball too.
2. Libeccio is a shiny thread made up of 40% viscose + 45% nylon + 15% polyester. Each ball gives 437 yards (400m) per 25g. Again, there is a metallic silver throughout.

The colorways:
A. Silver
B. Black

This web page offers you a pair, one ball of Alpaca Bright + one ball of Libeccio ( = 2 balls per set) in your choice of colorway, silver or black.
