The Design
Here is what Kristina says:
This tiny knit featuring a portrait of lavender in a beaded medallion is all you desire when you need the fastest present to knit, or want to bring a bit of beaded glamour into your life, or when your knitting mojo only lasts for a really small knit...
The pattern is fully written out and charted. This design incorporates beads that are pre-strung. Tutorials for placing beads and working dip stitches are included with the pattern along with the finishing options for different bracelet closures.
With this small project you will explore new techniques such as knitting with beads, dip stitches, and simple bobbles.
Yarn, Colorways, and Beads
Kristina also writes that though fingering weight yarn was used for the sample knit, the size of the bracelet is easily customized
as you work lengthwise. Even if you work at a gauge different than recommended, you can adjust the length as you go.
We brought in two colorways of Eco Baby, a 100% GOTS certified organic wool. This 100% organic, GOTS-certified, and machine washable sport weight wool yarn is designed to create soft and delicate garments for babies, but it can also be used for delicate garments for adults as well.
Each ball has 191 yards/ 50g.
We brought in pale blue and magenta -- not quite lavender but for sure colors of beautiful flowers too.
The design requires only 58 size 6/0 beads for the smallest size. We will be including Silver Lined Crystal or Silver Lined Crystal AB beads, about twice that amount to cover other sizes with no problems. Tell us if you would like a different color bead.
So each kit will include one ball of yarn, a dental floss threader, beads, and a clasp (most likely a silver tone toggle clasp unless you ask for golden beads in which case it will be gold tone).
