Another great design, from Susan Pandorf -- this is another in her series of Apertif (quick knit) designs.
And interestingly, we seem to have been finding a number of patterns recently that look best with colorways that are painted with long color repeats. This is one that looks amazing in one of the fingering weight self-striping wool yarns -- figure on about 660 yards and size 3 US needles.
(We think that one of the Melody yarns from Jojoland would work perfectly for this.)
You want a gauge of about 6 stitches to the inch, though obviously gauge is not crucial for scarves. In fact, Susan suggests that if you would like, you can use even heavier yarns with larger needles to make a stole.
So a versatile design that is sure to look marvelous -- and just picture this to snuggle into during the dull days to winter ahead....
